About Luke
Hi, I'm Luke — a clinical exercise physiologist based in Bondi. I've spent the last eight years working with people who don't fit the standard gym mould: recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, coming back to training after a long break, or trying to stay strong as life gets busier.
I studied exercise science at university (BExSc) and then went on to complete a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology (MClinExPhys). I'm an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA, which means I'm registered to deliver exercise as a clinical intervention — and your sessions may be claimable through Medicare CDM plans, DVA, or your private health extras (Bupa, Medibank, HCF, NIB).
How I work
Most of my clients come to me because something stopped working — a back that won't settle, a knee after surgery, a heart-condition referral from a GP, or just a body that doesn't feel like theirs anymore. We don't start with a "program." We start with a conversation, an assessment, and a plan that actually fits your life.
From there it's usually a mix of strength work, mobility, and structured progression — at the studio, outdoors near the cliffs, in your home, or online if you're not in Sydney. The exact mix depends on what you need and what you'll actually do consistently.
Who I work best with
- People recovering from injury or surgery who want to do the rehab properly the first time
- Adults managing chronic conditions (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, osteoarthritis, persistent pain)
- Anyone over 40 who wants to get genuinely stronger without wrecking themselves
- New parents rebuilding their base after birth
- People who hate gyms but want to train
What a first session looks like
We'll spend about an hour together. The first 20 minutes is conversation — what you've tried, what worked, what hurts, what you actually want. Then a movement assessment so I can see how you load, balance, and control your joints. Then we train — a small dose, calibrated to where you are today, so you leave knowing what we'll be doing.
You'll go home with a one-page plan and a short list of what to do between now and the next session. Nothing complicated.
Rates and rebates
Standard session is $120. Online (video) sessions are $90. Five-session packs are $550 ($110/session); ten-session packs are $1050. Medicare CDM (with a GP plan), DVA, and major private-health extras rebate a portion of each session — bring your card or referral and I'll process the claim on the spot.
If you're not sure whether what you're dealing with fits what I do, book a free 15-minute phone consult below and we'll work it out together.
What's included
- Free 15-minute phone consult before you commit
- Movement assessment + 1-page plan in session 1

- No lock-in. Pay session-by-session.
Came to Luke with a torn meniscus and a fear of squatting again. Six months later I’m deadlifting more than I did before surgery.
I’d been told I had to stop training because of my heart. Luke worked with my cardiologist and got me back on the floor. Honest, no nonsense.
After two kids my back was a mess. Luke didn’t just give me exercises — he taught me how to move like an adult again.
